Our founding companies realized the need to regulate the industry to promote its growth and understood the importance of acting as a guild.
This is how the association was born, with food safety as the main focus of its work, and thanks to the work of this committee we have been able to support small producers and integrate them into an export scheme that is undoubtedly a benchmark for Mexican agriculture.
Está conformada por un experto en el tema representante de cada empresa asociada, a su vez un especialista por parte de Aneberries encargado de coordinar los proyectos y actividades que llevamos a cabo.
The BerryGap Standard is the industry’s own safety protocol, a guide of Good Agricultural Practices with scope in the production, harvesting, field packing and transportation of berries from the field.
Launched and implemented by Aneberries, our main objective is to support growers in complying with the minimum measures required to minimize the risk of microbiological, chemical and physical contamination, and to reduce the probability of foodborne disease outbreaks associated with the consumption of berries.
One of the great challenges that Aneberries has pursued since its inception, is the quality and safety in our fields, with this initiative we seek to be a reference to achieve a better industry both inside and outside the association.
It is not a certification, however, it is the first step that consolidates the small producer for a certification on a global scale.
One of the main actions of the commission is the list of pesticides allowed in berry production, which specifies the requirements for each export destination.
